Chris Hoy - who are ya?

It’s the 25th anniversary of Comic Relief today and Neon Play got into the spirit of Red Nose Day with our favourite local bar/restaurant/meeting place - Somewhere Else in Castle Street.

Andy from Somewhere Else

In between chomping on the best burgers in town and the tastiest Caesar Salads this side of Rome, the Neon Play dream team got on their lycra and sat on the hardest bike seat in the world.

Here's one of the team all kitted up for action. Watch him go!!!

The simple idea was to pedal on a static bicycle for 10 minutes while wearing a pair of dangly red antlers. It’s a good look, you can’t disagree. Not forgetting this is all happening in front of fellow diners who were merrily feasting away on their gourmet lunch.

The team entered into it with varying degrees of commitment. Some option to take it easy, others pedaling in short bursts, others sweating a little at the end of the 10 minute ride.

The local paper even came along to take a snap of the team in action, so expect that to be headline news - “Neon Play does exercise”.

It was all for a great cause of course and we all chucked in a few shekels into the champagne bucket.

Oli Christie, CEO of Neon Play, breathing heavily spluttered, “Someone Else is our favourite place in Cirencester and it was great fun of Andy and his team to get the bike out and raise some money for Comic Relief. If only we were all a bit fitter.”
