We're proud to be an Hachette UK company
If you’ve got children, you’ll know that lovely, warm, fuzzy sensation when your child does something you’re really proud of. (If you don’t have children, you’ll just have to imagine another lovely, warm, fuzzy sensation...)
Paper Glider, one of the tip-top games from the Neon Play team, has just gone ballistic globally. It has seemingly peaked tantalisingly near the summit at number 2 in the UK free apps.
But it is the number one free arcade game. And the number one simulation game, so that kind of makes up for it. Just.
We're also the number 3 app in the USA, but the tip top numero uno Arcade and Simulation game in the USA.
And if you’re a fan of big numbers, in just one day, we got 258,742 downloads of Paper Glider. Which we think is our biggest sales day...in the world...ever!
It may be a simple game to play, but it’s deadly addictive and people just keep on playing. Here are some more stats to get your chops around...
Plane launched: 21,326,211 times
Plane got out the window: 5,057,407 times
Made it to countryside: 2,605,647 times
Made it to forest: 1,445,371 times
Made it to Nevada: 958,183 times
Made it to the moon: 382,256 times
So that’s a 25% rate of people managing to get the plane out of the window, which is not too sloppy. But only a select few (well 382,256) have made it to the moon.
Flight Lieutenant Oli Christie, chief pilot of Neon Play commented, “It’s very exciting to see Paper Glider fly to the top of the charts. If things continue like this, it could become our fourth million download app after Flick Football, Golf Putt Pro and Hotshot Pool.”
