We're proud to be an Hachette UK company
Every year, the fair comes to town in Cirencester (that’s in the Cotswolds, don’t you know) and it seemed only right and fair (no pun intended) that the whole Neon Play team headed off to sample the delights of the local attraction.
With the bright lights of the rides and stalls attracting us like moths to a light, we headed straight to the dodgems. And we got a good five minute session with vertebras put out of joint, necks snapped and whiplash aplenty. There’s nothing like ramming into a mother and a young child at full pelt.
To see us in action, look at the video below.
We next headed off to try and win some teddy bears for our (lucky) children and we had mixed success (a bit like the reaction of the children when they received the cheap teddies).
And after a bit of candy floss action, we picked up our rifles and tried to knock over some things to win more cheap teddies. And even though some of the team won’t be called up to the Marines in the coming weeks, we did manage to win a Homer Simpson for the office, to add to our collection of toys.
We contemplated trying to win a goldfish for the office, but didn’t think it was really what we wanted right now. A chameleon maybe that changes to neon colours, but not a little, sad goldfish in a bag.
Some of the rides looked far too scary for us to even attempt to consider, so with our booty of highly flammable toys under our arm, we headed off home with a happy glow. And nothing had been nicked from our pockets, so we were double happy.
