Neon Play in the news

BBC come to Neon Play

Have we got news for you!

It was an exciting day last week as the BBC came to Cirencester to film a piece for Points West news.

Having seen our piece in the local newspaper about Neon Play working with Cirencester College on a new iPhone game module for students, we got a call from the Beeb and they were keen to come and film us and find out more.

Lights, camera, students...

So as well as lights and a camera, we had a bus load of students and their lecturer, Oliver Smith, come down as well to see how things work in a mobile games studio.

We had a good “round table” discussion about iPhone games and what the students like playing. Although we weren’t around a table, but sitting in a circle of bean bags and snazzy coloured chairs.

Blithering idiots

Neon Play’s MD Oli Christie and our technical director Mark Allen were also filmed and we did our best to try and string together a few coherent sentences that made reasonable sense.

Dom Joly in the house

And then to make things even better, local celeb and iPhone fan Dom Joly (of Trigger Happy TV fame) came to the office to do a photo shoot and sound recording for his new iPhone app, which Neon Play are making for him.

Dom was a star and was also interviewed for the BBC and there will be some outtakes from his interview coming soon...

Rent a quote

Oli Christie, managing director of Neon Play buzzed, “It was an extraordinary day for the team and the office was buzzing with students galore, cameras, lights, the BBC and Dom Joly all in the studio. We can’t wait to see our ugly mugs on the TV and it’s great that the BBC are recognising our work and partnership with Cirencester College.”
