UI Artist
We are looking for a highly talented UI Artist to join our team at Neon Play. You’ll design the look and feel of our top selling mobile games, from the interface, logos, leader boards to icons.
Is it pixel-perfect? Does the icon have standout appeal? Are the screens uncluttered, clean and clear? Will people love it? Will the screens sell the game/app before they download it? Is the UX strong?
As a UI Artist, you will work with our fantastic and friendly art team, along with the Lead Artist and the Product Lead.
Responsibilities
- Create new UI screens for game, including resized versions for multiple aspect ratios
- Responsible for implementing UI screens throughout the game in Unity
- Work with the Lead UI artist to maintain look and style of UI screens throughout the game
- Work closely with the programmers to implement and optimise new screens and UI mechanics
Essential skills
- Mobile game experience
- Minimum 2 years UI experience with at least two game development cycles completed.
- Expert Knowledge of Photoshop
- Expert knowledge of Unity UI
- Good knowledge of Unity animation
- Good knowledge of Illustrator
- 2D art and design skills and a strong sense of colour
Bonus skills
- Experience with scripting (i.e. one of C#, Javascript, Actionscript, MEL script, etc…)
- Experience using Unity for a completed game
- Knowledge of After Effects
- Ilustration or other skills
Our office is based in the centre of the beautiful market town of Cirencester, slap bang in the middle of the Cotswolds. Walk out of the front door and you’ve got a great choice of shops, restaurants, pubs and pie shops. No McDonalds though, sadly.
