The lunch of champions

Some people like caviar and champagne. But no, not us, we’re a cheap date. Pizza will satisfy our humble needs.

So with that in mind, it was time for another team lunch at Neon HQ. The team has grown so with 28 of our available plastic chairs and Ikea stools all squished together, the scene was set.

The pizzas were delivered by two Spanish amigos, the beer (or Coke) was chilled and the whole team sat down and chatted about anything but work.

Once the pizzas were quaffed in super-quick time, the pizza boxes were made into a Jenga tower and then real board games came out and Connect 4, Battleships and a range of other old time favourites.

As some did battle over Connect 4 (some people were surprisingly rubbish), the real wars took place on our two table tennis tables. We had two different competitions, one was more Champions League quality and the other was more in FA Vase arena, if you catch the drift.

Long rallies, lots of swearing, local rivalries, inter-team bragging rights - it had it all. Annoyingly (for everyone else), Callum won the FA Vase Trophy equivalent and CEO Oli came out on top and won the Champions League and the top prize of a holiday to the Maldives. OK not really.
