Gold! Always believe in your soul...
It was the most perfect of perfect British days with not a single cloud in the deep blue sky.
And the Olympic flame was making its way through Cirencester on its winding way towards London 2012. So we headed down to the park for lunch in the spine-tingling build-up.
Is this burning an eternal flame?
And as luck would have it, the Olympic torch was going straight past Neon Play HQ (quite rightly as a local place of interest and achievement!). So we got all patriotic and put out some bunting...
And the streets were thronging with the great people of Cirencester. School kids, grannies, army people, all getting sunburnt and swetty. We cynically used this occasion (!) to promote our little studio and dressed our mannequin for the occasion. We even put a nice little message in our window.
Here it comes!
And there was a very long procession of police cars and bikes, sponsor trucks and then the flame itself, going very slowly luckily with a cheery looking old bloke. It was a happy occasion and everyone applauded and cheered - all very British.

Oli Christie, trying to help his kids get a peep of the flaming piece of gold metal commented, "There was a big buzz in the town today and with the perfect weather and our birds-eye view of the procession and the torch, it was a historic day for Cirencester. Happy memories indeed."
