It's awards time!
It's the time of year once again for the Gloucestershire Business Awards and we went for the third year running to try and win some silverware. The great and the good of the Glos business community got all dolled up and headed down to the Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse - there were an incredible 764 people there. Here's the empty room before the lights go down...

Neon Play had also developed a very cool photo sharing widget, which enabled guests to take photos on their phones and email them in and within seconds, they were featuring on the big 12 foot screens around the room. Our CEO Oli Christie had the rather scary task of explaining to everyone present how to do this - including his very own Ian Mean impression!
Fab Four
The four categories we were up for a gong were Best Communicator, Best Website, Best Place to Work and Small Business of the Year. And we went through the rather painful process of not winning the first three awards (harshly!). And after a seemingly eternal wait to find out if we were the best small business in Gloucestershire, we heard the best few words of the night..."and the winner is...Neon Play".
And here is a video of the great moment. Please excuse the somewhat over-exuberant celebration...
Here are the team on stage with their glassware and frame.

We are the champions...
And then with all the winners on the night...and a full list of winners.

Oli Christie, CEO of Neon Play commented, "We are delighted to follow up our 2011 Young Business of the Year award with the 2013 Small Business of the Year award. We are so proud to be based in Cirencester and Gloucestershire and to be recognised as the best small business in the county is a very special moment."
