Making money from apps

A few months ago, we got a call from the BBC out of the blue. And they said (very nicely) that they wanted to do a feature on how to make money from apps. And they wanted to ask us how we make money from our apps. And we were more than happy to oblige (obviously).

BBC in da house

So BBC technology reporter Dan Emery came down with his film crew to shoot the team and talk to CEO Oli Christie about the growth of mobile gaming, what it costs to develop a mobile game and some of the "success" Neon Play has had.

Here's Oli and Dan in deep conversation on some lovely beanbags in our studio. Click here to see a preview of the interview.

Oli Christie, CEO of Neon Play, fresh from taking off his make-up (joke) commented, “It was a great honour that the BBC chose Neon Play as a games studio who represented the independent games development community and we hope it shows that there are many small UK developers who are creating fun and addictive mobile games. Long may it last."
